Bee Pollen is made by older bees to feed the younger bees. It contains nearly all nutrients required by humans. Bee-gathered pollens are rich in proteins (approximately 40% protein), free amino acids, vitamins, including B-complex, and folic acid.
The only question is the ethics of gathering bee pollen for human consumption. A one teaspoon dose of pollen takes one bee working eight hours a day over one whole month to gather. But the benefits include increased energy, reduction in skin inflammation, powerful antioxidant effect, reduction in allergies, boost to the immune system – the list goes on.
Holistic healers swear by its use to treat addiction, and it is good for prostrate and menstrual issues. A teaspoon at breakfast with some fruit is all you need.
