People travel from all over the world to Bali, in search of all kinds of things. Bali has a reputation as a holy island, a spiritual place, and so a lot of people come here looking for ways to reinvigorate themselves. I’m lucky to live here, and I can really say that everything about Bali in people’s imaginations is true!

Bali is a center of learning, teaching, love and life and so eating rawfood seems to make a lot of sense here. Rawfood philosophy really matches the aspirations of many visitors to Bali. I never have any trouble getting healthy diners or the adventurous to my restaurant at Taksu and love knowing that my approach to rawfood will be appreciated here. Each year I get to present at the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival and the Ubud Food Festival – for such a small place Ubud is actually quite busy.

Rawfood is art, love, health and spirit combined on the plate. It nourishes the body without taxing the digestive system, and helps many people, I think, realise just what a joy eating healthily can be. We live in a beautiful world. Why not eat the beautiful food that grows in abundance all around us?
