This was the second year I’ve participated in the Ubud Food Festival. It’s such a great event showcasing the fact that my home town of Ubud is one of the world’s leading foodie hotspots.
Last year, I presented a Jamu making workshop. But this year, I presented three events: I hosted a garden tour and put on a raw breakfast for 30 people at Taksu, participated in a rawfood for Balinese people panel with Indonesian TV Chef superstar Farah Quinn and the team from Moksa, and perhaps best of all, joined Festival founder and director, the legendary Janet DeNeefe, on stage for a much bigger jamu workshop this year.
I put up some of the photos on my Facebook, so you can see them all conveniently there. I hope to maybe meet more of you at next year’s festival, or this October, at the Ubud Writers and Readers Festival, where I’ll also be presenting.
